What this pillar does
Aero & Conditions isolates the part of lap time that comes from where you are on track and when you are on track, rather than from the driver or the car. Two distinct phenomena are covered:- Dirty air. Running behind another car costs measurable pace time that shows up in the decomposition’s dirty-air term. Dirty Air Cost totals that loss per driver across a race; Dirty Air Lap Map shows the aerodynamic environment every driver was in, lap by lap.
- Circuit evolution. Track Evolution separates rubber buildup from ambient temperature drift, showing how the baseline pace changed underneath the whole field. Field Pace Curve shows the trimmed field-average pace those two forces produced the reference line every lap time in the race is measured against.
fct_lap_residuals (for the per-lap dirty-air classification)
and int_track_evolution / int_field_pace_curve (for the circuit-level baselines). The
underlying models are documented in the Transform
Physics and Pace Baselines
family pages.
Every feature in this pillar
Dirty Air Cost
A leaderboard of the cumulative time each driver lost to running in disturbed airflow
during a race, from the per-circuit dirty-air model.
Dirty Air Lap Map
A lap-by-lap grid of the aerodynamic environment every driver experienced free air,
dirty air, tow, or DRS train across a whole race.
Track Evolution
The lap-time baseline split into rubber buildup and ambient drift, showing how much the
circuit itself changed underneath the field over a race.
Field Pace Curve
The trimmed field-average lap time across a race, blending fuel burn, tyre degradation,
and track rubbering into one reference baseline.
