What this pillar does
Ghost Car answers one question: what would happen if you removed the car advantage? Every feature here takes a driver, swaps them into a chosen host car, and re-scores them against the real grid using the same seven-term decomposition that powers the Lap Decomposition pillar, combined with a Monte Carlo race simulation. The ghost recombination readsfct_ghost_race_finish, which carries predicted finish
positions and confidence intervals for every driver × host-car pairing. The circuit-level
leaderboard uses int_driver_circuit_era_affinity, which shrinks car-removed pace estimates
to a per-driver, per-circuit, per-era grain.

Hidden Performance
Drivers whose ghost-projected finish beat their actual result strong drives masked by
car pace, strategy, or circumstance.
